Major food/gift manufacturer is seeking an experienced Creative Graphics Manager who will manage a department of 11 designers and artists.Will identify, source and negotiate freelance services, manage department staffing and complete annual evaluations, assign resources to projects, manage a budget/approve design related purchases, manage vacation time, manage work schedules during peak design season.Will participate in product line brain storm sessions, triage the product line to determine ownership of initial artistic direction between product designers and graphics.Will facilitate creative process with team to make sure vision is met.Frequent input from product designers for feedback on how artwork is developing and raise red flags when objectives are in danger of not being met.90% of position is management/creative leadership - 10% of this job is hands-on design using Photoshop/Illustrator skills alongside team.Will manage departmental processes and procedures, create tools to manage workflow, assign jobs, and monitor progress.Recruit new hires as needed, commission artwork as needed, manage resources to a budget, take time to review and critique lines with team when finished, create recruiting test to match need with talent.Must live in Chicagoland area - NO relocations please.Submit resumes, salary history and samples to Debbie at creativegifts@hotmail.com, or call 630-761-8660
