THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO is seeking a qualified candidate who will protect the assets of The Art Institute by taking a methodical approach to identification, prevention, control and management of known and unknown risks of financial and property losses, which includes but is not limited to health and fire safety, criminal background checks and internal investigations. Accountable for the analysis and determination of appropriate retained liability levels and alternative risk assessments, specifically in reviewing insurance contracts. Responsible for effective loss prevention programs that result in more proactive prevention, detection and resolution of both internal and external sources of loss. Will develop and recommend policies and procedures concerning corporate risk management with a goal of reducing insurance costs and losses. Will manage insurance broker process, including the procurement of policies. Responsible for ensuring that insurance carriers are notified of all claims pursuant to the terms and conditions of the applicable insurance policies. Will coordinate and confirm that appropriate strategies are in place to ensure that both internal and external investigations are brought to successful conclusion. A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration or equivalent experience. Must have 5-7 years experience of loss prevention supervision. Knowledge of risk management principles with practical experience. Ability to manage confidential information.Interviewing and investigation experience. Proven problem solving skills and ability to make sound judgment/decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite necessary.
