I am in the same situation as you so here is what I tried and it has helped. My cat was having pain during urination and some blood in the urine as well.He has always been on dry food which, from what I gather is the worst thing for a cat with this problem.Dry food dehydrates the animal, leading to excessive concentration of the urine thus causing crystalizations to form which then cause the bloody urine.I switched him to wet food and even added a bit of low sodium chicken broth to get evem more fluid into him.I have been doing this for about a month and he no longer shows signs of infection.Good luck and hang in there!
