SEC Manager A worldwide manufacturing and distributing company is seeking to fill the position of SEC Manager for its office in the western suburbs. This company offers an excellent work/life balance and a competitive salary and benefits package. The SEC Manager will primarily be responsible for accounting analysis and 10K/10Q filing. Specific duties include the following: -Research technical accounting issues and prepare logical, well supported conclusions and recommendations. -Respond to requests and actively interact with Department Managers, Business Analysts and Business Leaders to determine the proper accounting for new or unusual transactions -Assist with the preparation of quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K SEC filings, including the drafting of Management’s Discussion and Analysis. -Train new company finance employees about new accounting pronouncements and other relevant U.S. GAAP topics. QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelors degree in Accounting and CPA -5+ years of related experience -SEC reporting experience preferred -Strong technical accounting skills -Solid communication skills as well as interpersonal skills -Ability to work with minimal supervision
