The works of local artist, Michael S. Jones, will be featured during a one night reception, Portrayed, a multi-media art show featuring paintings, drawings and linocuts on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 5713 N. Jersey Avenue, Chicago.The sequel to his successful 2005 Progressions exhibit, Portrayed is Jones's latest effort to fine tune his vision of portraiture and figurative works.This event is free and open to the public.
A true community member, Jones will also be incorporating a special field trip experience into his show for the residents of Misericordia, Chicago's premier not for profit home for adults with developmental disabilities.For the past 12 years Jones has enjoyed doing art therapy with individuals at Misericordia and looks forward to introducing Misericordia's art students to this kind of solo exhibit.
