Senior Accountant Description Large, middle-market company has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant for its office in the western suburbs. The company is in the process of reorganizing its accounting functions, which makes it an excellent opportunity for long term career advancement as the department grows. This role will be focused on external financial preparation in compliance with GAAP and internal management financial reporting, including: •timely preparation and review of quarterly consolidations; •cash flow •account analysis and reconciliation; •assist with preparation of monthly management financial reports; •monthly general ledger journal entries and ledger maintenance; •additionally, may assist with administrating & maintaining Requirements Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.S. / B.A.) in Accounting and 4-6 years of experience at a large corporation or at a public accounting firm. Candidates should be self-starters, have excellent communication and organizational skills and demonstrate the following skill set: •work both independently and harmoniously with a group •prioritize workload and re-prioritize when necessary •take direction, implement changes and follow up as needed •manage multiple projects simultaneously •comply with deadlines •proficiency with Microsoft Office •experience with large accounting software package preferred (SAP, HFM, Peoplesoft, etc) •CPA preferred •experience with consolidations preferred
