Senior Database Administrator

We are looking for a self-starter with an intermediate to advanced level of experience working with and designing Microsoft SQL Databases. Specifically the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and assisting in database design and changes to include creating databases, triggers, replication, queries and reports. Additionally the DBA will be responsible for creating and implementing security policies, conducting daily back-ups, importing/exporting data to other systems, report and client support. Experience with Data warehouse and Business Intelligence techniques would be a plus.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. A basic understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and product deliverables is recommended. A strong emphasis is placed on positive interpersonal skills. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with managers and system users.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree with major course work in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, computer engineer or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum two years increasingly responsible experience in computer science or MIS to include database administration required. Minimum one year lead or project management experience required.
