We are looking for a Senior Macintosh Network Engineer with exceptional people skills to provide outstanding technical support in our fast paced environment. The majority of our clients rely on Stamm Technologies as their sole technology resource., so this position requires handling a broad range of tasks, from server troubleshooting to resolving desktop issues. Successful candidates will be responsible for a combination of duties, including the following: Travel to client locations to troubleshoot hardware/software problems a car is required Evaluate clients needs and make recommendations for upgrades Supporting, maintaining and designing local area networks Application integration and support Explain difficult concepts simply and follow up on any client requests and needs REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years of Macintosh consulting/technical support experience Strong knowledge of all versions of Mac OS including OS9 (Classic) and OSX (Jaguar, Panther, Tiger, Leopard) and OS X Server Advanced knowledge in Mac-based email applications (MS Entourage, Apple Mail, etc.), including integration with Microsoft Exchange Server, Communigate Pro and other mail servers Experience with Macintosh in an MS Active Directory and cross-platform Windows/Macintosh integration, implementation and troubleshooting Solid knowledge of Mac applications: Quark, Adobe, font management, color output, PDF, Microsoft Office (cross-platform). Strong knowledge of Mac troubleshooting routines, as well as Mac utilities: DiskWarrior, TechTool Pro, ARD, Timbuktu. Backup system and disaster recovery experience with Retrospect and others Strong knowledge of Mac and PC desktops, laptops, and related peripherals. Knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols and Internet technologies. Familiarity with VPN a plus Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to work with clients who are under pressure/deadlines Punctuality and ability to meet deadlines and schedules Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction Excellent logic and problem solving skills A car, a valid drivers license, and active auto insurance and willingness to travel to client location throughout the Chicagoland area on a regular basis to provide on-site support and consulting If you have solid experience, a very strong work ethic, and a healthy sense of humor, we want to hear from you. work.cl@stammbt.com (no calls please)
