The University of Notre Dame (www.nd.edu), one of the nation’s top 20 institutions of higher learning, is accepting applications for a Sr. Web Developer within Mendoza College of Business (MCoB - http://www.nd.edu/~cba/011221/index.html) to manage all technical aspects of the MCoB presence externally. This includes managing the creation and continued functionality of the external Mendoza site in conjunction with program partners within the college, the Director of Web Content and Administration and the Director of Marketing and Web Strategies. This includes quality craftsmanship for navigation, forms and data capture, multimedia integration, searches, security and general functionality to match or exceed standard online practices. The position will manage online campaigns and tracking with the Director of Marketing and Web Strategies. The position will report frequently on the performance of online campaigns and overall site traffic using standard web-based measurement tools. The position will be integral to a Mendoza external site redevelopment periodically and regularly be responsible for the site's upkeep. These activities will be in conjunction with an external development partner, the Director of Web Content and Administration and the Director of Marketing and Web Strategies. Position will consult with the external partner and internal Mendoza partners to select and manage a development and content management system platform. The position will create multimedia projects by assignment including creating or outsourcing of video capture and editing or Flash development. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, information technology or systems. A minimum of 4 - 6 years web development and systems management experience required. - Expertise in database development / application servers. Expert knowledge of ColdFusion, Ruby On Rails, PHP, SQL, Javascript, Ajax, DOM scripting essential. Advanced working knowledge of XML, HTML, and CSS mandatory. Experience with blogs, wikis, podcasts, and vlogs, social networking sites. Familiarity with open-source content management systems. Experience with Flash and/or Actionscript, Google Analytics, Crystal Reports is a plus. - Extensive project management experience and proven organizational skills a must. - Strong written and verbal communication skills required. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Extensive knowledge of web communications/best practices.
