UR Chicago, the city痴 leading monthly lifestyle and culture magazine, is looking fornew on-site marketing interns to help us with our live music, art, dining, and social events. Sounds kind of cool, right? Keep reading. Who You Are: - Active, socially engaged and culturally aware young person (over the age of 21) who lives in the Chicago city limits. - Outgoing, social, and interested in meeting new people while spreading the UR Chicago love around at our events. - Available at least 2 specific nights/week, preferably one of them over the weekend. This means that if you join our team for Mondays and Fridays, that you commit to being available when we have a Monday or Friday night event. There may be weeks where you work both nights, and there may be weeks where you don稚 have any events. - A car is not necessary, but is a major plus. What You値l Do: - Arrive early at your assigned events to hang posters, distribute marketing items, and coordinate any event logistics with the venue. - Hand out marketing materials or giveaways at the event. - Collect email addresses from event attendees. - Manage any giveaways or contests on site. What You値l Get: - We offer full college credit to students. - Entrance into almost any UR Chicago-sponsored event in the city. - We can often obtain tickets to other non-UR sponsored concerts and events for our interns as well. We値l fully train you and equip you with everything you値l need to learn the event production process. Plus, you値l get up close access to some of the coolest shows and events in Chicago, all while racking up valuable experience.
